Healy management is not running any operations. Due to which unscrupulous importers are deliberately increasing the price of onion. By doing so, ordinary shoppers are getting into trouble.

Haroon Ur Rashid Haroon, Chairman of the Import and Export Group at Healy Land Port, said that onion shipments had been damaged due to flooding in parts of India. So the price of onion is higher in India. Importers have to buy onions at higher prices. If imports are high, the price of onion may drop in the next 20 days, he said.

Hakimpur Upazila Nirbahi official Abdur Rafiul Alam said: “I have discussed this issue with the large onion importers from Hili port.” TCB has invited tenders for 400 MT of onions on the 12th in Healy. If the onion is imported from TCB, the price will go down.
