The Center has voiced its tough stance against violence against women in the wake of the gang rape of Hathras in India. Guidelines have already been sent to every state and territory in the union.

The guidelines, released on Saturday, state that police must act as soon as possible in the event of sexual harassment or rape. First the police have to take an FIR. Also, if there are too many violations, the investigation must be completed in two months. All necessary measures must be taken to catch the wrongdoers. Researchers can also use the national database if necessary. The Center has also issued instructions to examine sexual harassment with due weight. In that case, you must also do FIR.

An FIR can stay at any police station. In the case of filing FIR, there are many complaints of procrastination against the police. If such accusations come to light, legal action will be taken against the police officer. There may even be a case against you in various sections. The punishment may fall on the policeman in question.

Additionally, a woman who is raped or sexually harassed must undergo a physical examination by a government doctor within 24 hours. If the victim after the rape goes through a statement before death, it should also be accepted as evidence. The forensic team will also need to use the sexual assault evidence collection kit that is provided to the states and territories in the union, the Center said. It has also been reported that appropriate action will be taken in the event of non-compliance with these guidelines.
