Digital registration rooms have been inaugurated in 21 districts of the country to facilitate ground service and prevent harassment. A crore 7 lakh 8,624 accounting books of CS, SA, RS and Diara will be available in these registration rooms. The registration rooms for the remaining 40 districts will be introduced as phased digital registration rooms (excluding the three hill districts).
On Wednesday, Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury, MP, inaugurated the process of converting the registration halls of 21 districts of Bangladesh into electronic citizen service or digital service to build a digital Bangladesh.
Speaking as a keynote guest at the inaugural function, the land minister said the digital records room would reduce harassment in collecting land ledgers. The number of people going to the district administration office to collect books will be reduced. Other than this, there will be no more harassment of the runners.
According to ministry sources, Dhaka, Faridpur, Narsingdi, Gopalganj, Tangail, Shariatpur, Kishoreganj, Madaripur, Narayanganj, Rajbari, Manikganj, Chittagong, Sylhet, Moulvibazar, Habiganj, Mymensingh, Netrokona, Panchagarh, and Rganangigrajpur. 1 crore 7 lakh 8 thousand 724 ledgers of CS, SA, RS and Diara will be available in the digital record room in the district. A total of 98,445 muzas have been published in various surveys. If you only need a certified copy when ordering the ledger online, you must come to the district administration office to pick it up. The Land Survey and Records Department, in collaboration with A2I, has created a digital records room.
The land minister further said: “We are also working to obtain an automated certified copy of the online ledger alongside the online ledger.” “We have been able to reach the top five ministries today in terms of efficiency because of our sincerity and honesty in working according to the vision,” he said.
Expressing his hope that the digital record room will be completed across the country next year, the Land Minister said: “Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, we want to establish the Land Ministry as a trusted directorate of the people.” I think we are on the right track.
Responding to a journalist’s question about digital security, the land minister said: “We are working very consciously on cyber security.” We have already written to the Government Department of Public Safety and ICT to assist in this matter. Responding to another question, the minister said: “We are working sustainably so that whatever happens in the future, the basics can advance at their own pace.”
Md. Makshudur Rahman Patwari, Senior Secretary of the Land Ministry, who was present as chair at the occasion, said that this year the Land Ministry team won the ‘2020 Bangladesh Digital Award’ for providing online ledgers and creating rooms of digital records. Receiving this award after receiving the UN award is recognition of the good work of the Ministry of Lands.
Earlier, Mr. Daulatuzzaman Khan, Head of the Digitization Monitoring Cell of the Land Service, Ministry of Lands, presented an illustrated report on the technique and progress of the digital record room.

A total of 3 crore 96 lakh 57 thousand 01 13 ledgers from CS, SA, RS and Diyara from 61 districts will be available online. After today’s 21 districts, the recording rooms of the remaining 40 districts (excluding the three hill districts) will be introduced as phased digital recording rooms.
