Three motorcyclists were killed in a traffic accident in Nagarpur upazila of the Tangail district. There was a love story between the two murdered. It is known that they ran away from home in the dead of night and got married. There was another friend on the motorcycle to help them. He also died in the accident.
The accident occurred at Daspara in Nagarpur upazila on the Tangail-Aricha regional highway on Wednesday (November 11) morning. Three people died on the spot. The deceased were identified as Mamta Hiya, 15, daughter of Abdul Mannan from the Kakmara area of Sadar upazila, Shubh Akhter Sunny, 18, son of Abdul Barek from the Jangalia village of Delduar upazila and Bappi, 22 years old, son of Shubhar Bandhu and Mostafa from the Kortia ring road. The deceased was identified as Mamta, an SSC candidate from Vivekananda High School in Tangail.
Nagarpur Police Station OC (Investigation) Baharul Islam confirmed the information and said that two teenagers were fleeing from Nanabari in the Duburia village of Nagarpur on a motorcycle towards Tangail. A friend of his was also on a motorcycle to cooperate at the time. At one point, a truck coming from the opposite direction collided with the motorcycle, killing three people on the spot. Later, the police recovered the bodies of the victims. The killer truck was stopped in the incident, but the driver escaped.
Confirming the matter, Nagarpur OC Alam Chand Police Station said police went to the scene after receiving the news. Three of the bodies have been recovered. It will be sent for autopsy.
