Tangail: Five people were killed in a head-on collision between a truck and a van in Gharinda in Sadar upazila on Tuesday morning. Two others were injured. The dead are a truck driver in the Godagari area of Rajshahi. Said the son of Tofazzal Hossain. Bulbul Mia, worker Babul Mia (32), Sobahan (34), Nazrul Islam (35) and Riyad Mia (30). When the Dhaka-bound truck and the van carrying the pressing machine bound for North Bengal arrived in the Gharinda area, there was a head-on collision due to heavy fog. Dinajpur: Abdul Momin, 45, son of Abdur Razzak from Bastatul village in Sirajganj’s Tarash upazila, was killed when he was hit by a coal truck in heavy fog in Nawabganj. Abdul Momin’s nephew, Lalon Mia (30), was seriously injured in the accident. The accident took place in front of the Chararhat Sadia gas station on the Dinajpur-Dhaka highway on Tuesday morning.
Companiganj (Noakhali): 28-year-old motorcyclist Parvez Hossain, son of Kamal Uddin of Siddiq Masterbari in Char Torabali village of Mohammadpur Union, was killed in a collision between a motorcycle and a battery-powered autorickshaw at Mohammadpur Union of Subarnachar Upazila. The accident occurred in the Chaurasta Killa area around 8:30 am on Tuesday.
Laksam (Comilla): A BCL leader named Shah Jalal Sujan (25) came back dead when he was going to look for a passport. He died in a truck accident at Manoharganj in Comilla. The accident occurred on the Comilla-Noakhali regional highway in the Khila area of upazila around 2 pm Monday. Sujan is the son of the late Yakub Ali from the village of Uttar Hawla and the organizing secretary of the Uttar Hawla Union Chhatra League. On the other hand, Shafiqul Islam Safu (44), a motorcyclist, was killed in a head-on collision in Naotala in Chandina on Tuesday. He is a resident of Mohakhali, Dhaka. Shafiqul was going to Dhaka from the Rahimnagar area of Chandpur on his motorcycle with his father-in-law’s hearse.
Netrokona and Durgapur: Durgapur brick truck overturned dead worker. Mostafa Kazi (38) is a resident of the Basan Police Station in Gazipur District. He was killed instantly when the truck fell into a ditch at Satashi Bazar in the Chandigarh Union of the Upazila around 11pm on Monday.
Bakerganj (Barisal): Sita Rani, 50, a resident of Rabipur village in the Garuria union of the Upazila, died after falling from a rented motorcycle in Bakerganj. The accident took place in Boalia Bazar on the Barisal-Patuakhali highway on Monday night.
Niamatpur (Naogaon): A father and son were killed when their motorcycle collided with a truck in Niamatpur. The deceased were identified as Abul Kalam Azad, 45, and Shahadat Hossain, 21. The accident took place at the Bhadrand junction of the Niamatpur-Dhansura regional highway in upazila on Tuesday morning.
Indurkani (Pirojpur): BCL leader Maruf Al Leon was killed in a bus and motorcycle collision in Indurkani on Tuesday night. The accident took place in front of Jomaddar’s house near the Indurkani Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni bridge on the road to Chandipur. Town of Leon Seutibaria a.
