In Begumganj of Noakhali, a housewife named Nur Jahan Begum (42) was cut into four pieces and killed by criminals in Subarnachar district.
Police recovered her body from a rice field behind Provita Feed in Uttar Jahajmara village of Charjabbar Union District 1 in upazila around 5 pm on Wednesday (October 8).
The deceased was identified as Nur Jahan Begum, wife of the late Abdul Barek from Charjabbar Union District 1 in Upazila.
Charjabbar Police Officer in Charge (CO) Shahed Uddin confirmed the incident and said that two parts of the housewife’s body had been recovered. This includes your head and waist.
Witnesses said the housewife was cut into four pieces and killed. However, the body parts of the chest and legs have not yet been found.
Humayun Kabir, 26, the deceased’s son, said his mother had been missing since Wednesday morning. Later in the afternoon, a local woman went to the rice field to look for snails and found the body in pieces. Later, when the matter came to light, he saw a snail bag next to the body and identified his mother’s body.
OC Shahed Uddin Chowdhury said the body was recovered from the scene and sent to the Noakhali General Hospital morgue for autopsy. Police are investigating the matter. Details will be reported later.
