A 35-year-old woman was beaten by local terrorists at her father’s house in medieval style. At the same time, they beat the husband and recorded the video of the torture in front of him naked. When the video of the torture went viral on social media Facebook on Sunday afternoon, local police went out into the field to rescue the victim and her relatives and catch those involved in the incident.
The incident is known to have taken place about 20-22 days ago at a house in Joykrishnapur village of Eklashpur union district 9 in Noakhali’s Begumganj upazila. After the incident, the victim and his family were locked in the house by the terrorists. Later, they locked themselves outside the house and fled the house and took refuge elsewhere.
Although people in the area knew of the incident without the victim and his family, no one spoke out in fear of the terrorists. When the video of the torture was released on Facebook social media around noon on Sunday, the police went out into the field in the afternoon to rescue the victim and her relatives and catch those involved in the incident.
Police arrested Abdur Rahim, 26, a terrorist from the area before the evening. Later in the evening, the victim and his father were rescued from the district town development.
Police Superintendent on the scene around 9pm Sunday. Alamgir Hossain confirmed the matter. He said 3/4 of the terrorists in the area involved in the incident made bad proposals to the woman. As the woman did not agree to her proposal, the terrorists got angry and tortured her by stripping her naked.
According to the victim, the woman was at her father’s house due to a disagreement with her husband. Her husband went to see her on the day of the incident. At night, in their bedroom, the terrorists Delwar, Badal, Kalam and Rahim together with another duke tortured them. She said the operation to arrest other people involved in the incident was continuing.
