The Police Investigations Office (PBI) has revealed the mystery of the murder of her son Parvez with a hired hitman, since his mother was involved in an affair. The PBI Mymensingh branch arrested the murderer Rabiul Islam from the Tongi West Police Station area in Gazipur on Wednesday night. The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) also arrested six people, including Parvez’s mother, Rozina Akter, on Thursday.
PBI recovered the mobile phone and SIM card used by the mother and son of the accused Rabiul Islam. Rabiul was sent to court on Thursday afternoon. Rabiul testified in court. Mymensingh, PBI (SP) Police Superintendent Gautam Kumar Biswas, said this in an email late at night.
SP Gautam Kumar Biswas said, Md. Maricharchar Ishwarganj upazila village of the district. Munjurul Haque lives in Malaysia to earn a living. His wife Rozina Akter lives in her husband’s house with five children. He has three sons and two daughters.
The oldest son, Parvez, is in the eighth grade at Maricharchar High School. Parvez left the house on the morning of October 9. But he never came home. The next day, on the morning of October 10, Parvez’s body was found floating in the Brahmaputra River. This caused quite a stir. The police, DB and RAB were on the ground to unravel the murder mystery.
According to the police, Rozina Akhter became involved in foreign affairs because her husband had been out of the country for a long time. He used to talk to people outside his cell phone day and night. Parvez began to interrupt his mother in various ways. The numbers that Rozina used to talk to were blocked by her son Parvez. Rozina used to unlock the numbers with her neighbor Rabiul. The defendant Rabiul used to recharge money on his phone. Rozina would tip her. Apart from this, Rabiul also used to do Rozina’s housework in exchange for money.
After Eid-ul-Adha, the accused Rabiul Islam went to Tongi and worked in a garment factory. Parvez’s mother used to call Rabiul from time to time. On October 9, Rozina called Rabiul for an urgent job. Later, Rozina settled with Rabiul for 50,000 rupees to kill her son Parvez, police said.
In describing the incident, the PBI official further said that Rabiul went to the river bank that day and waited. Rozina sends her son Parvez to give Rabiul a mobile. Parvez rode his bicycle to the river bank. According to his mother, Parvez went home with Rabiul’s mobile phone in hand. Immediately, Rabiul began hitting Parvez’s head one by one with the thick branches of the tree near him. Parvez then fell to the ground. Rabiul then left the scene with Parvez’s touch phone and Parvez’s mother’s push-button phone.
Later, Rabiul went to see Parvez’s mother, Rozina, and demanded 50,000 rupees. So Rozina said, if Parvez’s father sends money from abroad, the money will be given to him.
The accused Rabiul then returned to Tongi that night and went into hiding. Parvez’s uncle Nurul Amin filed a case with the Ishwarganj Police Station on October 12. On October 14, PBI was given the responsibility of investigating the case. Five days later, the PBI revealed the mystery of Pervez’s murder and arrested the killer.
Meanwhile, Mymensingh RAB-14 conducted a special operation Wednesday night and arrested Parvez’s mother, Rozina, and five other people on suspicion of involvement in the murder. They were later handed over to the Ishwarganj Police Station. Others are Rozina’s supposed lover. Emdadul Haque (50), said the suspect. Gani (45), Maryland Sultan Uddin (45) and Md. Ruhul Amin (58).
