According to sources at the Mathbaria Upazila Health Complex, two sisters arrived at Mathbaria from Dhaka last Thursday and were admitted to the Upazila Health Complex. On Friday, samples were collected from the two sisters and sent to the laboratory at Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital in Barisal. From there, they were informed on Saturday night that they were not “positive”. In addition, a young man came to Mathbaria in Dhaka for sample tests. The Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) in Dhaka said last night that the young man’s crown was “positive”.

Ali Hasan, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer, said the two sisters were in the hospital when they arrived at Mathbaria from Dhaka. They were taken to the isolation unit after Corona was identified last night. And the young man is being treated at home.

Mathbaria Upazila Nirbahi’s officer Urmi Bhowmik said the young man’s “positive” home in Corona has been closed.

According to the district health department, a crown of 20 people has been identified in the Pirojpur district. Of these, eight were identified at Pirojpur Sadar Upazila, seven at Bhandaria Upazila, four at Mathbaria Upazila, and one at Kaukhali Upazila. Among them, one patient recovered in Pirojpur Sadar Upazila, two in Bhandaria Upazila and one in Mathbaria Upazila.
