The incident took place at the Abdullahpur union of the Upazila on Thursday night, the girl’s relatives said.
The girl’s father filed a case against the two at the Char Fashion Police Station on Friday.
Rahima Islam Degree College of Char Fashion sophomore is being treated at Upazila Health Complex.
In the case, the student’s father alleged that his daughter was studying at home Thursday night. The doors and windows of the house were closed at the time. The assailant suddenly inserted an ‘injection syringe’ through the hole and threw acid into his mouth.
It is mentioned in the case that the girl started screaming at that moment.
The case also alleges that the student saw Belayet and Hanif flee after throwing acid.
The complaint further stated that they have been having a long-standing dispute with the defendants over the shop house at Mina Bazar in Abdullahpur.
Char Fashion Police Station OC Monir Hossain said the student’s father had filed a case against Belayet and Hanif at the Char Fashion Police Station on Friday.
In the case, it was alleged that Belayet Hossain and Hanif Majhi from Dakshin Shiba village dumped acid on the land dispute.
The OC said the police were conducting an operation to catch them.
Char Fashion Upazila health officer Shovon Kumar Basak said he was admitted to the hospital around 10 p.m. Thursday. He had acid burns on his face. Treatment continues.
