A senior adviser to Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan is rumored to have visited Israel last month.
Rumors spread when Imran Khan said he did not want to normalize relations with Tel Aviv in the face of intense pressure.
The Israeli media is said to have spread the rumor.
Citing a source close to the Israeli cabinet, some other newspapers, including Israel Hayom, claimed that Imran’s adviser flew from Islamabad to London on a British Airways flight on November 20. He arrived in Tel Aviv on flight BA 165 of the same airline. However, no newspaper has published the name of the advisor.
According to the report, the adviser stayed in Tel Aviv for a few days and met with some “high-ranking” Israeli officials.
One of those reports was posted on the Jerusalem Post website, but was later removed.
On the other hand, Nur Dahri, founder and CEO of the London-based Islamic Theology of Counterterrorism (ITCT), claimed the news was true.
In an interview with Israeli news channel I24, Dahri claimed that Imran’s adviser had met with Yossi Cohen, the head of the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad, and had relayed a secret message to him from the head of the Pakistani army.
