According to the details of the case, Mizanur Rahman Khokon, the second of the three brothers, became Hafez of a madrasa in the Birghoshpala area of ​​the Nandail Police Station in Mymensingh. In 2010, he started his Imamate at the Bilpara Panjegana Mosque in the Konapara village of Uchmanpur junction in Kuliyarchar. Besides teaching, he also taught the children in the maktab there.

On August 14, 2016, around 3 a.m., a man was carrying a heavy sack in the Konapara area when the matter became known to some people in the area. At that time, another person on the motorcycle also left the motorcycle and fled. It was later learned that there was a body inside the sack and it was found by Imam Hafez Mohammad of the local Panjegana mosque. Mizanur Rahman Khokon.

Later on the morning of August 15, police went to the scene and seized his packed body and an unnumbered Walton motorcycle. The police arrested Moyna Akhter and later his brother Monir Hossain on suspicion of involvement in the murder of the Imam. The elder brother of the deceased on the night of August 15. Nurul Haque became a plaintiff and filed a lawsuit against the unidentified persons at the Kuliyarchar police station.

After the police arrested Moyna Akhter and her brother Monir Hossain in the case, Moyna Akhter gave a confessional statement under section 164 in court on August 18.

He said in his confessional statement that Imam Mizanur Rahman Khokon was assassinated by Moyna Akhter to save his honor. He said that Mizanur Rahman Khokon went to Moina Akhter’s home on the night of the incident and tried to rape her. At this moment he interrupted Mizan. At one stage in the fight between the two, Moyna Akhter began to pull Mizan’s neck forcefully with a rope to pull the mosquito net off the bed. Mizan died in it. After tying his hands and feet to the body and putting it in a sack at home, Brother Monir Hossain left the packed body on the side of the road.

The investigating officer of the case, the deputy inspector of the Kuliyarchar (SI) police station, said. On April 24, 2016, Kohinoor Mia filed a charge sheet on behalf of Moyna Akhter and her brother Monir Hossain. The court announced the verdict in the case on Sunday.
