A textile factory worker was gang-raped in Shilmandi of Sadar upazila of Narsingdi. Police arrested two people for gang rape.

The Police Investigations Office (PBI) sent the two detainees to jail through a court on Tuesday afternoon (October 20). The abused woman is a worker in a local textile factory.

They were arrested Tuesday morning. Those arrested are- Md. From the Shilmandi area of ​​South Shilmandi of Sadar upazila. Said the son of Amir Hossain. Osman Bhuiyan (32), son of Zaman Mia (30) and Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan.

According to the case account, the woman went to work the night shift on Saturday (October 18) at 10 pm to match the textile.

On the way, Zaman Mia and Osman Bhuiyan picked up the woman from the road and raped her in turn inside a bamboo garden in the empty space of another textile factory. Another unidentified man was guarding them at the time.

After the gang rape, the accused threatened the woman as she left, saying: “If you tell someone about this incident, they will kill her and her older sister will also be gang-raped.” Then he kept the matter a secret.

Afterwards, family members cried in fear when they wanted to know why his clothes were torn. However, the names of the accused were not released. The next day, he told his uncle and a girlfriend about the gang rape.

The woman’s father filed a case with the model Narsingdi Sadar police station on Monday night accusing all three.

Said the Inspector of Investigation (Administration) of the Narsingdi Police Office. Moniruzzaman said: “As soon as we found out about the gang rape, we raided and arrested the defendants Zaman Mia and Osman Bhuiyan.” They admitted to being involved in the incident during preliminary questioning. They were sent to jail through court Tuesday afternoon. Attempts are being made to arrest the other defendants.
