The organization also demanded the immediate and unconditional release of the engineers.
In a statement on Sunday (September 20), Engineer General Secretary of the Central Council of the IEB. Shahadat Hossain Shiblu made this demand.

“Engineers are performing their roles efficiently as pioneers in the implementation of Vision-2021, Vision-2041 and Deltaplan-2100 announced by the current government and that trend will continue in the future as well. But we are very sorry to see that engineers working reputable people in the country are being subjected to various forms of physical torture, mental torture, arrest, pre-trial detention and even murder.
In a statement, the IEB secretary general said that despite not being charged in a criminal case, the police arrested four Titas Gas engineers in handcuffs and detained them for two days without specific charges and without the approval of the authorities. corresponding. Which has caused intense resentment in the engineering community across the country. I strongly protest and condemn this heinous incident.
He urged the four engineers to be unconditionally released in a short period of time and urged them not to be harassed socially and familially. Shahadat Hossain Shiblu also warned that if not, IEB will take action later.
The explosion took place in the Baitus Salat Jame mosque in the western part of Fatulla in Narayanganj on the night of September 4 during Esha prayers. On September 6, the Titas Gas Authority suspended eight people, including the four engineers, for negligence in the incident.
