‘My body has become very bad while fasting here. I can’t even sit properly. I vomited several times. The doctors came today from the University of Dhaka. He gave me saline solution with first aid. I will die, but I will stay here until six defendants are arrested, including Hasan Al Mamun and Nurul Haque Nur. I want rapists punished.

The student first filed a case against six individuals, including Nurul Haque Nur, at the Lalbagh Police Station of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) on September 20, alleging rape and rape. The next day, Monday, the student filed another case with the DMP Kotwali Police Station, accusing the same people of kidnapping, raping, assisting, inciting and spreading propaganda through digital media.

In the statement of the two cases, the student said: ‘I was unable to resolve the issue with Hasan Al Mamun after the rape and finally reported the matter verbally to VP Nur on June 20. He says: Mamun is my advisor, my comrade in arms. I’ll make an arrangement by sitting with him. Then, on June 24, he came to meet me in Nilkhet with the assurance of an agreement. But he forbade me to go too far in this regard, avoiding the question of arrangement. If I go too far, he will post his name on Facebook with his fans and threaten to promote me as a prostitute. ‘

Later on September 24, Nurul Haque Nur appeared on Facebook Live and said: ‘There are CCTV footage in the vicinity of Dhaka University or in the Nilkhet area. Next to it is the Newmarket Police Station. So if this single information can prove that I met that girl in Nilkhet on June 24th or talked about solving the problem, I will receive all complaints. I will stay away from politics. And I’ll consider myself a criminal. ‘

When asked about this, the DU student said today: ‘VP Noor said one thing at a time. He’s lying. I have proof that he met me in Nilkhet. I’ve turned that evidence over to the investigating officers on the case. It will be given in court. The court will see everything. I hope to do justice. That is my right.
