On January 8, the Barguna Juvenile Court brought charges against 14 minors charged in the Rifat murder case. The court then began taking testimony against 14 accused minors as of January 13. A total of 84 witnesses have testified in the case.

Syed Maruf Billah Mahibullah (18+), Maruf Mallick (18+), Prince Mollah (15+), Ratul Sikder Joy (18) and Aryan Hossain Shravan (18+).
