‘I wake up and pray. I recite the Quran. Then I make myself a cup of tea. I make my own tea. I make my own tea and coffee and eat them myself. Then read the book. I go for a walk in the morning.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina spoke in Parliament on Wednesday. She said this in response to a supplementary question from the Jatiya Party deputy Fakhrul Imam. Md. Fakhrul Imam of the Jatiya Party wants to know in the supplementary question what the Prime Minister is looking for when he wakes up.

The Prime Minister said, “I have a younger sister at home.” Whoever gets up first makes tea. Now my daughter has dolls. He who wakes up before going to sleep does. We eat alone. Before that, as soon as I got up, I made the bed with my own hands.

He said, “We also believe in being inspired by this ideal of Bangabandhu.” We have learned this way since childhood. My father asked a rickshaw shooter to talk to you. The chauffeur of the house must be called sir chauffeur. And people who work can never be called servants. It cannot be asked. You have to ask them with respect.

“I can still be the prime minister. If I have to ask someone for a glass of water, I can ask them to give me a glass of water,” he said. We have brought this lesson. Keep complying. This is the parent’s education. Not just what he said. This teaching has also accompanied us. So from that point of view, I think people can ignore him if he looks poor or doesn’t wear good clothes, but we don’t have that. We all have the same respect. Instead, we pay a little more attention to those who have nothing.
