Dhaka: Referring to the plight of people in the lockdown situation to prevent corona virus infection (Covid-19), Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said: “We are trying to open some sectors slowly.” I am making some arrangements so that people can earn a living. Because it is the month of Ramadan.

The Prime Minister said this while accepting grants from various organizations of the Prime Minister’s Aid and Welfare Fund to tackle the Corona virus crisis on Sunday (May 10).

The Office of the Prime Minister received these grants on behalf of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, its Chief Secretary. Ahmed Kaikaus. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina connected to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) by video conference from her official Ganobhaban residence.

57 organizations, institutions and individuals donated to the Prime Minister’s Fund on Sunday.

Urging to confront the situation with confidence and courage, the Prime Minister said: “If you are ill, you must have courage in mind.” Doctors and medicines alone will not cure the disease. From the strength of the mind, from self-confidence, but you can heal a lot.

He advised everyone to follow the instructions given by the Ministry of Health or the World Health Organization: stay clean, do not meet in one place, follow the physical distance.

Expressing the blessings of Ramadan to everyone, the Prime Minister said the government continues its efforts to deliver food door to door, realizing the plight of all.

The Prime Minister urged those who have received the most wealth to cooperate with others as part of a growing mutual sympathy.

Sheik Hasina said, people are for people. Everyone has to work with this in mind.

In mentioning that many also behave inhumanely, the Prime Minister said that it is not correct to remove a family member when they become ill, even without knowing what illness they are suffering from.

Sheikh Hasina said, “I don’t think it will cause much harm if you help your family by wearing gloves and a mask while staying safe.” But it is never good to take away the father as a son, or the husband as a wife, or the mother.

Thanking all those who are working to prevent coronavirus infection and address the crisis, the Prime Minister said: “Human qualities: this is humanity.” And this is the greatest identity of our Bengalis. I think everyone needs to have this character.

He prayed for forgiveness of the souls of all those who died of the crown while performing their duties.

The Prime Minister thanked all the leaders and workers of the Awami League and its affiliated organizations, including the Chhatra League, for showing up for humanitarian work, including cutting down rice.
