Comedian Bharti Singh and her husband Harsh Limbachia were released on bail in a drug case. A court in Mumbai granted the two bail on Monday. It is known that a very small amount of cannabis was recovered from Bharati and Harsh, that is, only 7.5 grams. Therefore, the two were granted bail in exchange for a bail of Taka 15,000. For now, the comedian and her husband must go to the nearest police station in the next few days. They are not involved in trafficking nor do they maintain other drugs.
On Saturday it emerged that investigating officers from the Narcotics Control Department searched Bharati’s and Harsh’s homes and the producer’s offices. In total, 7.5 grams of cannabis were recovered. After that summons, the two were sent. The questioning began as soon as he arrived at the Department of Narcotics Control.
Bharati and Harsh confessed to using cannabis after being questioned by officials.
Bharati was arrested after that. After a few more questions and answers, the ‘handcuffs’ fell into Harsh’s hands. Samir Wankhede, zone director of the Department of Narcotics Control, said that Bharati and Harsh only use drugs, not those involved in trafficking. So they and the dealer were presented at Kila Court on Sunday afternoon.
There, the judge sent Bharati and Harsh into judicial custody. After that, the Hindi TV star couple applied for bail. The hearing on that request is Monday afternoon. The court granted Bharati and Harsh conditional bond with temporary relief. Meanwhile, the court has placed the three defendants in judicial custody for 14 days for assaulting Samir Wankhede, zone director of the Narcotics Control Department and his team.
