Humayun Ahmed’s birthday in Nuhashpalli crowd of fans

Humayun Ahmed’s 72nd birthday was celebrated at Nuhashpalli in Gazipur. People flocked to his grave on Friday (November 13) to pay their respects. Humayun devotees of all ages flocked to Nuhashpalli from morning to afternoon to pay their respects at the tomb of the beloved author.

At 12:01 pm, officials and employees lit thousands of candles at the Nuhashpalli built by Humayun Ahmed in the Pirujali village of Gazipur Sadar Upazila and lit up all of Nuhashpalli. That night, Humayun Ahmed’s wife, Meher Afroz Shaon, arrived in Nuhashpalli with their son Nishad and Ninit. Later, around 10:30 a.m., he and his two sons laid a wreath at Humayun Ahmed’s grave and recited Fateha, visited the grave, and offered prayers at the grave. Nuhashpalli employees and many Humayun devotees were present at that time.

After visiting the grave, two sons, Nishad and Ninit, cut their 72nd birthday cake on the block floor in front of the Humayun Ahmed mural placed next to the White House in Nuhashpalli. Hundreds of Humayun fans, media workers and Nuhashpalli employees were present at the time.

On the occasion of the day, Humayun Ahmed fans began gathering in Nuhashpalli from Friday morning. They put flowers on the grave of their beloved author and remain silent praying for the forgiveness of his soul. Fans spend the day touring Nuhashpalli, built by their favorite author.

Meher Afroz Shaon, Humayun Ahmed’s wife, said that the new generation, especially the youth of this time, is reading Humayun Ahmed’s writings and becoming familiar with the inner juice, sentiment and humanity of his writings. It is wonderful.

It is worth mentioning that Humayun Ahmed was born on November 13, 1948 in the Kutubpur village of the Kendua Police Station in Netrokona. He died on July 19, 2012 due to incurable cancer. Later he was buried at Nuhashpalli in Gazipur.
