Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed her grief for the victims of the explosion at a mosque in Narayanganj, saying: “We will analyze how the design of the gas line was approved.”
He also said that it will be investigated whether someone has built a mosque outside the plan.
The Prime Minister said this while discussing the motion of mourning tabled in the National Assembly on Sunday.
The list of motions to grieve in the ninth session of the Eleventh National Assembly is quite long. Right now in Corona, the country has lost many talented people, as well as current and former MPs.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed her regret over the incident at the Narayanganj mosque and said that the maximum medical treatment has been provided to the survivors.
He said this mosque is built on the gas line. Usually there is no construction where there is a gas line. I don’t know if RAJUK has given permission here. I can’t give that. Taking unplanned measures can lead to accidents. To avoid this type of accident, it is essential to see if the mosque can be installed in the place where it is being built, if it has the approval of the corresponding authorities or if it has been designed in such a way. Otherwise, these accidents can happen at any time.
The blast took place at the Baitus Salat Jame mosque in the Talla area of Narayanganj city last Friday night. Fifty people were burned.
Of them, 36 were admitted to the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burns and Plastic Surgery in critical condition. As of Sunday morning, 24 of them had died.
In her discussion, the Prime Minister recalled the brave role of Sahara Khatun during the events of One-Eleven and BDR, including the mass uprising of 69. She again blamed the BNP for the BDR mutiny.
He said, we only formed the government then. It is never reasonable to form a government that would create an unusual situation in the country. This means that those who could not come to power at that time were behind. One day or another, these truths will come out.
Remembering the first Bengali President of India, Pranab Mukherjee, said that Pranab Mukherjee supported Bangladesh and this government after the 1971 liberation war, on August 15, when the emergency government and even the World Bank expressed their opinion on the corruption of the Padma Bridge.
