Shahnawaz Rifat Sharif was beaten to death in front of Barguna Government College on June 26 last year. The next day, Rifat’s father, Dulal Sharif, filed a murder case against 13 people at the Barguna police station. On September 1 of that year, the police charged 24 people, including Rifat’s wife, Minni, who were killed, and divided them into two categories, adults and minors. The judicial process of the adults ended on September 17 with the arguments of both parties. 7 defendants, including Minni, died on Wednesday: Barguna session and district judge Md. Ashaduzzaman.
