The Ministry of Public Administration issued a notice to extend the total vacation period to May 30, combining Eid and weekly holidays in public and private offices to combat the coronavirus. The general holiday is from May 16 to May 26. Since the next two days are weekly holidays (Friday and Saturday), they will also be associated with general holidays. During this time, Eid vacations and other vacations will be included in the total vacation.
No one can leave the workplace during a normal vacation, according to the vacation notice. In addition, during the holidays, the public and all authorities must strictly comply with the guidelines (hygiene standards) issued by the health department.
However, all ministries or departments will keep the offices under their control open as needed. At the same time, they will issue specific instructions to perform the work in their jurisdiction. And the 13-point directive already given by the department of health services, including the mandatory removal of the staff mask, must be strictly followed.
Bangladesh Bank will give the necessary instructions to keep the banking system running considering the benefits of Ramadan, Eid, business and commerce during the holidays. Of course, the bank is already open. Normal transactions are until 2.30 pm.
Emergency services such as electricity, water, gas and other fuels, fire services, port activities (land, river and sea ports), cleaning activities, telephone, internet, postal services and vehicles, and personnel dedicated to related services will be on leave. Vehicles (trucks, lorries, cargo ships, etc.) dedicated to the transport of all types of goods by road and waterway will continue to move.
Additionally, the license will not apply to agricultural products, fertilizers, pesticides, food, industrial products, state-owned goods, raw materials, food, pharmacies, hospitals and emergency services, and related personnel.
Physicians and staff engaged in medical services, vehicles, and personnel transporting medical equipment, including medications, the media (print and electronic), and staff of cable television networks will be excluded from this vacation.
Once again, it has been said that the authorities of all factories, including the pharmaceutical industry, production and export, will be able to guarantee the safety and medical care of workers. However, the export-oriented clothing factory was launched from April 28.
And taking into account the situation, the fields related to industry, agriculture and the production and supply system will open in phases.
No educational institution can be kept open during holidays. However, school and college vacations have been announced until May 30.
With this year’s license, the license has been extended by seven points since March 26. The first phase was canceled from March 26 to April 4 due to coronavirus. After that, the license was extended until April 11. The party ran for the third time until April 14. In the fourth phase, the license was extended until April 25. In the fifth phase, the license was extended until May 5. Then it was extended until May 16. Before the end of that time, a new holiday was announced.
