Due to Corona, the Bangladesh team did not have the opportunity to play any more ODI games after March 2020. But this team has two hitters on the list of the most ODI centurions in the ICC!

Last year, two Bangladeshi batsmen, Tamim Iqbal and Liton Das, each scored two centuries. Interestingly, they are both starters and both have scored a couple of centuries in a single series.

Bangladesh played a three-game ODI series at home against Zimbabwe in March. Many records have been rewritten in that series in Bangladeshi cricket. Tamim and Liton hit well.

In the second ODI of the series, Tamim made 156 of 137 balls. What was the highest personal collection of any Bangladeshi batsman in ODIs. Although that record lasted only one game.

In the third ODI of the series, Liton Das played an 18-run inning with 143 balls. Which is by far the highest personal collection in ODI for Bangladesh. Tamim also scored 127 of 109 balls in the same game.

Liton also scored a century in the first ODI in the best inning series for the country. In the first game, another dazzling entry of 126 of 105 balls came from this young man’s willow.

The ICC, the world’s top cricket governing body, announced on Friday the names of the top five centurions of 2020 in the ODIs. Steve Smith is at number one on this list with three centuries.

Bangladesh ranks second and third on the list. Tamim is second and Liton is third. The fourth- and fifth-ranked hitters also scored two centuries last year. They are Akib Elias from Oman and Aaron Finch from Australia.
