Helicopter team to resolve dispute between father and son, Salish Pandey in public anger

Officials from the Law and Support Center (ASC) arrived at Jivannagar in Chuadanga by helicopter from Dhaka to resolve the dispute between father and son. After various dramas throughout the day, the refereeing work has been rendered useless due to public anger. The incident took place at Andulbaria Bazar in Jivannagar upazila of the Chuadanga district around 1 pm on Saturday.

According to the details of the incident, it was 12:30 p.m. Andulbaria Bazar football field. As soon as he entered the field, he saw a convoy of vehicles lined up by the country’s popular television channel. But a representative from the district arrived in a car. No cameraman or assistant. However, why organize so much? It was learned that her three sons were having a dispute with Abdul Latif, a merchant from Andulbaria Bazar in Jivannagar Upazila.

Mostafa Tajwar, son of Abdul Latif, has filed a written complaint with the headquarters of the Legal Aid Center (ASC) Foundation to resolve the matter. On the basis of the allegations, Legal Aid Center Division Deputy Director (Dhaka Area) Muhammad Masum Billah (December 26) notified Abdul Latif for an arbitration meeting. According to the notice, Md. Lokman Hossain, Ask Foundation Divisional Head, his personal assistant Md. Sohail Rahman and Divisional Deputy Director Masum Billah arrived at the scene by helicopter from Dhaka around 1 pm on Saturday to resolve the dispute between father and son.

As soon as they got out of the helicopter, they came under cannon fire from the locals. Why did you have to come by helicopter to the arbitration meeting, how important is the matter and who bears the costs? The Ask Foundation team paused at such questions from the media. However, they could not give a good answer to these questions. According to them, they had to attend this arbitration meeting in a very short time as there was urgent work in Dhaka. They come mainly to solve this problem of father and son.

The cost of the helicopter is borne by a businessman named Mahmudul Hasan, a member of the Ask Foundation. Previously, 20-25 more members of the legal aid center came to the Andulbaria market from Dhaka in private vehicles (minibuses). They also faced various questions. They have to come back at the end of the day’s drama. Incomplete allegations and fabricated information on the charge sheet come to the fore as the reason it cannot be addressed in any way. The question arose about the activities of the Ask Foundation group.

The locals said that Abdul Latif, a prominent businessman from Andulbaria Bazar in Jivannagar Upazila, had a dispute with his three children over the land. At one stage the matter was resolved. A few days later, Abdul Latif’s son, Mustafa Tajwar, filed a written complaint against his father at the Ask Foundation headquarters. On the basis of the allegations, Muhammad Masum Billah, Division Deputy Director of the Legal Aid Center (Dhaka Area), sent a notice to Abdul Latif on December 26 for an arbitration meeting.

Sheikh Shahidul Islam Muktar, president of Andulbaria Union Parishad, said locals were trying to kill members of the legal aid center. At that time, members of the Jivannagar police tried to calm them down. At one point, around 4:30 pm, three officers from the Legal Aid Center with the help of the police boarded a helicopter and departed for Dhaka. Later, the rest of the members of the Legal Assistance Center left the place in a minibus and left for Dhaka.

In this regard, the officer in charge of the Jivannagar (OC) police station, Saiful Islam, said that it was not correct for officials from the Legal Aid Center to come here from Dhaka by helicopter on a local matter. The situation turned turbulent. But it did not happen due to the activities of the police.

Former President of Uthli Union Parishad and President of Union Awami League Abdul Hannan, President of District Bar Association Advocate Alamgir Hossain and others were present at the time.
