The newly formed central committee of Hefazat-e-Islam has been rejected and the followers of Allama Shafi have threatened to form a counter-committee.
To this end, the alternative committee scheme has already been finalized after several meetings. They are scheduled to announce a new program next Saturday.
However, the leaders of the current Hefazat-e-Islam committee are not concerned about the formation of an alternative committee. They have expressed their determination to turn around again with the newly announced committee.
Maulana Nasir Uddin Munir, deputy general secretary of the newly announced Hifazat committee, has stated that Hifazat supporters at home and abroad are very excited because the council with representatives from across the country ended in Hathazari Madrasa on 15 of November.
His claim, grassroots leaders and supporters are also overwhelmed. Representatives from across the country, starting in Dhaka, have found a place on the new committee. The committee includes eminent scholars, pir-mashayekhs and religious personalities from the country.
In no time, this apolitical organization will organize itself by forming new committees at the district and upazila levels. Hefazat’s top leader hopes the new path will gain momentum.
On the other hand, a source confirmed to Jugantar that the deposed followers of Allama Shafi will give a new program in a few days.
Moinuddin Ruhi, deputy general secretary of the recently dissolved committee, said that a meeting with our leaders and workers is scheduled in Dhaka next Saturday. The program will be announced in accordance with the decision made at that meeting to override the committee formed through decided kinship and factionalism at the behest of the special court.
Hefazat’s organizing secretary, Azizul Haque Islamabadi, claimed that although the opposition had taken various steps to challenge the council, it had no effect in the post-council period.
He said that 10 years after its establishment, the new custody path has begun through the historic conference. Hefazat leaders and supporters across the country were overjoyed after the conference. The Touhidi people are also optimistic about custody.
Islamabadi said that Hefazat-e-Islam is neither for nor against any political party. Hefazat’s role in advocating for atheistic apostasy and faith will be even stronger.
We don’t care who did what. Anyone can form a committee if they wish. We have nothing to say or do.
