Locals rescued the wounded and bloodied Naeem (35) and took him to Char Fashion Hospital. Later, the doctor on duty sent Naeem, who was seriously injured, to the Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital for better treatment.
Naeem is said to be the son of Azam Ali Sardar from the same village and a driver of a rented motorcycle.
The housewife filed a case against Naeem at the Shashibhushan Police Station on Monday.

The housewife said that her husband was a fisherman by profession. The husband was not at home the night of the incident, he was fishing in the river. He was sleeping at home with his 9 year old son. Go out late at night to answer natural calls. At that time, Naeem, who was lurking outside the house, entered the house and hid under the chuck.
The housewife came from outside, closed the door and went back to sleep. Shortly after, Naeem naked grabbed the housewife and tried to rape her by covering her face. The housewife struggled to save her self-esteem. During the fight, the housewife grabbed a sharp blade from the sewing kantha by the bedside. To save her own dignity, she cut off Naeem’s penis while trying to rape her with that sword.
Neighbor Maqsood said Naeem started screaming for help after his penis was bitten. The housewife also got up screaming. They rushed to the scene, rescued Naeem, and sent him to the hospital.

The housewife further said that Naeem used to come to her house because she knew her husband. At one point, Naeem started making bad proposals to him. She informed family members, including her husband.
According to the villagers, Naeem is married with two children.
Russell Ahmed Mia, an on-call doctor at Char Fashion Hospital, said Naeem had been referred to Barisal because he had 50 percent injuries to his penis.
Shashibhushan Police Station OC Rafiqul Islam said there had been one case of attempted rape.
