The incident took place at 12:30 pm Monday near the Habiganj Executive Magistrates Court. The deceased was identified as Hafizur Rahman, 32.
According to judicial sources, Bushra, his mother and three sisters came to court with their son Arfin in their arms in the case under Section 100 of the Code of Criminal Procedure presented by Hafizur. In court, Bushra expressed her desire to go with her mother instead of her husband.
According to her wishes, Executive Magistrate Afia Amin Pappa allowed the victim Bushra to go with her mother. Hearing this order, Plaintiff Hafizur collapsed. She wants to walk out of the courtroom and hold her baby Arfin in her arms. But the wife did not agree. At that time, Hafizur kept screaming that he would die if he didn’t find his son on his lap.
But since Bushra did not respond, Hafizur pulled a knife in front of the people and struck the left side of his chest. He was rushed to Habiganj Adhunik Sadar Hospital in critical condition and the doctor on duty pronounced him dead.
The Habiganj Sadar Police Station SI Sahidul admitted the veracity of the incident and said that a GD has been filed at the Sadar Police Station in this regard. The body has been sent to the morgue for an autopsy.
It can be mentioned that Hafizur, an employee of Decorators in the Sultan Mahmudpur area of Habiganj city, married Bushra Begum (26) in 2016 in the Kurshi Khagaura village of Baniachang upazila. They have a 6-month-old son named Minhazur Rahman Arfin. On the afternoon of September 23, Bushra went to the orphanage with her son.
She then filed a case in the Hafizur Executive Magistrates Court on October 15 for not returning to her husband’s home. He mentioned in the case that his mother-in-law and sister-in-law pressured him to stay in the in-laws’ house permanently. If you do not agree, Bushra and her son are arrested.
Faced with this situation, he appealed to the court to rescue his wife and son. Hafizur’s suicide in the area. Nur Mia is the eldest of 2 sons and 1 daughter. The family is losing their son.
