Former vice president of the Central Student Parliament of Dhaka University (Daksu), Nurul Haque Nur, has been charged with attempted murder by pushing him in a private car.

He escaped unharmed after being hit by a two-wheeler in a private car Wednesday night. He filed a written complaint with the Hatirjheel Police Station on Thursday morning.

According to the complaint, a private car (Dhaka Metro G-31-6508) chased them as they left the Malibagh overpass at around 11pm on their way back to Badda’s home. Twice in a row, the private car tried to push Nur’s motorcycle, but the motorcyclist Aminul Islam (24) avoided the collision and pushed the bus in front of the DIT Road Abul Hotel, below the Hatirjheel police station.

The complaint further stated that after colliding with the bus, the driver of the private car threw the car backwards and tried to push Noor’s motorcycle again. However, in the meantime, when the local people went ahead, the private car took the U-turn.

However, Tejgaon police officer DC Mohammad Harun Aur Rashid told Jugantar that there was no attempt to kill Nur. Your accusations are not correct. This is a mere accident.
