The number of patients diagnosed with coronavirus in the Dhaka metropolitan area to date was 120 as of Sunday morning. So far, in nine metropolitan areas, patients with coronavirus have been identified.
According to the latest data from the government’s Institute for Pathology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR), the largest number of patients has been identified so far in Dhaka. This number is now 5. Of these, 8 patients were identified in Uttara, 3 in Wari, 3 in Dhanmondi, 5 in Lalbagh, 12 in Mohammadpur and Basabo, 3 in Jatrabari and 5 in Mirpur-4. The number of patients identified in Mirpur-12 is now 5.
Twelve locations in Dhaka have been blocked so far after the coronavirus patient was identified. To date, the total closure has been in six districts of the country, said the IEDCR. The districts are Sherpur, Comilla, Narayanganj, Cox’s Bazar, Gazipur, Gaibandha, Khulna, Kishoreganj, Noakhali, Jamalpur, Sylhet, Brahmanbaria, Tangail, Satkhira, Rangpur, Pirojpur, Chandrapur, No Chadpur. Outside of this, partial locks are issued in 4 more districts.
