It was not found during the RAB raid on the home of Haji Selim, a deputy from the ruling party of the Dhaka-6 constituency. Haji Selim and his wife were in the hospital at the time, RAB said.

Lt. Col. Ashiq Billah, director of the RAB’s media and law branch, told the media at 3:30 p.m. Monday that the operation had been carried out since noon. So far, Irfan Selim and his bodyguard Zahid have been detained.

He said they were detained from the fourth floor of the nine-story building.

When asked where Haji Selim was, MP Ashiq Billah told the media that Haji Selim was not at home. It is known that he went to the hospital with his wife before the operation.

However, the RAB official could not say which doctor he went to.

An unlicensed foreign pistol, ammunition, a compressed air pistol, 40 walkie-talkies, a wife, and foreign liquor and beer were subsequently seized from the building.

At the site, the fourth and fifth floors of the house at 26 Devidas Ghat Lane in Chawkbazar were seen to have been built in a duplex system. Irfan Selim, MP’s son, lived in the fourth floor room in North Corner.

A foreign pistol loaded with clips was found under the mattress in his bedroom. In addition, 56 wireless VPS systems (virtual private servers) and 40 walkie-talkie kits, a wife, a gun, bottles of foreign liquor, and beer were found in the east corner of the fifth floor.

RAB Executive Magistrate Sarwar Alam said the equipment and firearms were kept in the same condition as they were for the forensic report.

According to the RAB, the arrested Irfan Mohammad Selim is the son-in-law of Ekramul Karim Chowdhury, Councilor for the 30th District of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) and Member of Parliament for the Noakhali-4 Constituency.

By the way, on Sunday night (October 25) near the Kalabagan crossing in Dhanmondi, the vehicle of the Dhaka-6 MP Haji Mohammad Selim collided with the motorcycle of the Navy officer, Lieutenant Wasif Ahmed Khan. After that, Irfan Selim and his men got out of the car and beat the officer named Lieutenant Wasim.

The vehicle with the MP’s sticker and the naval officer’s motorcycle were seized at the Dhanmondi police station around 10:15 pm. A case was presented at the Dhanmondi Police Station on Monday morning at 8 a.m.
