The body of the late actor was taken to the Museum of the Liberation War in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar after 11pm on Friday. He was one of the trustees of this organization.

The last time he played the lead role in the play ‘Galileo’ was on October 14, 2016 at the Experimental Theater Hall of the Shilpakala National Academy in Dhaka.
“After he was diagnosed with cancer, he said, ‘Galileo will be the last thing I want to do,'” said his wife, actress Sarah Jake, at a tribute ceremony at the Museum of the Liberation War. He was able to do that. Thanks to everyone who was with us on the long journey ”.
Actress Ferdousi Majumder came to the Museum of the Liberation War to pay tribute to Ali Zaker. “The talkative, sweet-voiced and unique actor is lost today,” he said.

Asaduzzaman Nur, Sarwar Ali, Mamunur Rashid, Tariq Anam and many others came to pay their respects.
Ali Jaker acted in Aranyak’s play ‘Kabar’ in 1972 with the help of Mamunur Rashid, through which he began his journey on stage. Later he joined the civic theater community. Ali Jaker was the president of this theater company until his death.
Mamunur Rashid said: “Ali Zak has had a tremendous impact on stage. The story of his Dewan Ghazi and especially Nuruddin’s life will be unforgettable. “
After graduating from Dhaka University, Ali Jaker started his career at an advertising agency in Karachi. After independence he took over Asiatic in 1982, at the time of his death he was the group president of the company.

When the liberation war began, Ali Jaker first went to India and received war training. The film director and journalist Alamgir Kabir encouraged him to participate in the campaign. Ali Jaker joined Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendra.
Ali Jaker’s performances on stage as Nooruddin, Galileo and Dewan Gazi have been remembered by audiences, as well as his performances in the dramas ‘Bahubrihi’, ‘Tathapi Pathar’ and ‘Aaj Rabibar’ on television.
Ali Jaker has directed several plays such as ‘Achalayatan’, ‘Baki Itihas’, ‘Sat Manusher Khonje’, ‘Tail Sankat’, ‘Ei Nishiddh Pallite’, ‘Kopeniker Captain’. He has also acted in more than 50 radio plays.
In 1999, the government awarded him the Ekushey Padak for his contribution to the theater. In addition, he has received various honors, including the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Award, the Bangabandhu Award, the Munir Chowdhury Medal, and the Naren Biswas Medal.
