After the commotion at the memorial on Intellectuals’ Day, this time on Victory Day, there have been several fights at the Islamic University (IU) focused on the tribute. The incident took place between the two sides of officials at the university’s Mukta Bangla sculpture at 11 a.m. on Wednesday. According to university sources, on the occasion of Victory Day, the vice-rector paid tribute to the martyrs after raising the national flag and flying the globe as a symbol of peace.
