The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has found between 70 and 80 girlfriends of Prashant Kumar (PK) Haldar, who fled abroad after embezzling around 3.5 billion Tk. An investigation is underway into allegations that PK Haldar smuggled millions of rupees into his girlfriends’ accounts.
The ACC lawyer said in response to several questions from journalists on Sunday. Khurshid Alam Khan gave this information.
He said that PK Haldar’s arrest warrant had been sent to Interpol through the Interior Ministry. We have received more information about money laundering against you. The ACC investigation has revealed that it sent millions of rupees of money to the accounts of 60-70 brides for being single and single. We are also investigating those accounts.
The ACC lawyer further said: “Several victims have come to me after the High Court ruled on PK Haldar.” Whose money PK Haldar sent to his girlfriend’s account. I have received the names and addresses of these brides, but for the sake of research, I cannot say at this time.
Incidentally, PK Haldar has been charged with embezzlement of Rs 1.5 billion from the international lease. He also embezzled around 3.5 billion rupees and secretly fled to Canada.
Meanwhile, as per the court’s previous instructions, the progress report of the arrest warrant against PK Haldar, the FIR in the case and the confiscation order were presented to the High Court. A relative of PK Haldar, Amitabh Adhikari, a former director of People’s Leasing, and Ujjwal Kumar Nandi, a former colleague of PK Haldar and a former president of People’s Leasing, were named in the case. Then, the court set January 3 for the next hearing in the case.
