ONE Wahida Khanam
An air ambulance took him from the Rangpur Cantonment to the National Neuroscience Hospital in Dhaka around 1:15 pm on Thursday (September 3).
Earlier on Wednesday, Upazila Nirbahi (UN) officer Wahida Khanam and her father were attacked at their government bungalow in Ghoraghat around 2 pm.
Later, he and his father were admitted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital. His father is being treated there. However, as UNO’s condition deteriorated, he was sent to Dhaka. 
Tofail Ahmed Bhuiyan, head of the department of neurosurgery at Rangpur Medical College Hospital, said that UNO Wahida Khanum had serious injuries to the left side of his head. Right arm and leg have become numb due to displacement. Also, he has bled into the water cavity in his head. Currently his condition is critical. He has been sent to the Dhaka Neuroscience Hospital for better treatment.

Rangpur Division Commissioner Abdul Wahab said the UN was dispatched to Dhaka for better treatment. The motive for the attack was not immediately clear. An investigation will reveal who was involved in the attack.
