The government has conditionally extended the general holiday until May 30 to curb the spread of the Covid-19 coronavirus. At the same time, the curfew was extended in an order signed by the undersecretary of the Field Administration Coordination Branch of Cabinet Division Mo hammad Abdul Wadud Chowdhury on Thursday (May 14) and a copy of the order was sent to the Chief Secretary, Division Commissioner and all Deputy Commissioners.
1) According to the order, the movement of the public will be restricted / restricted from May 16 to 28 during the general holiday. On May 21 (Shabe Qadr public holiday), the 22, 23, 29, and 30 weekly holidays and May 24, 25, and 26 (Eid-ul-Fitr general / government holidays) will include holidays / bans.
2) During the general prohibition of holidays and movements, the movement of people from one district to another or from one upazila to another will be strictly controlled. The district administration will carefully implement this control with the help of the police. People should stay indoors to prevent coronavirus infection. No one can leave the house from 8 pm to 8 am unless there is an urgent need (buy essential items, buy medications, receive medical treatment, bury or bury corpses, etc.).
3) The public and all authorities must strictly adhere to guidelines issued by the Department of Health when there is a general vacation and travel ban.
4) Considering Ramadan and Eid, other hygiene rules should be strictly followed while keeping a mutual distance when buying and selling in stores. Sanitation must be provided at the mall entrance along with the hand washing system. Vehicles arriving at the mall must be disinfected with disinfectant. These mall stores must close before 4 p.m.
5) During the general holiday, emergency services such as electricity, water, gas and other fuels, activities of fire services dams (land port, river port and sea port), telephone and internet, postal service, and vehicles and personnel Dedicated to related work will be off the holiday.
. Vehicles (trucks, lorries, cargo, boats, etc.) dedicated to the transport of all types of goods on roads and waterways will continue to move.
. This leave will not apply to employees engaged in agricultural products, fertilizers, seeds, pesticides, food, industrial products, state-owned goods, raw materials, food, pharmacies, hospitals, and emergency services.
. Physicians, nurses, and health workers involved in medical services, vehicles, and personnel transporting medical equipment, including medications, media workers (electronic and print media, cable television networks) will be exempt from this general ban. license / movement.
9) The authorities may guarantee the safety and medical care of workers in all types of factories, including the pharmaceutical, manufacturing and export-oriented industries. In this case, the Ministry of Health must guarantee the implementation of medical care guidelines.
10) Considering the situation, the areas related to industrial factories, agriculture and the production and supply system will open in phases.
11) No educational institution can be kept open during holidays or during the ban.
12) Bangladesh Bank will give the necessary instructions to keep the banking system working taking into account the benefits of Ramadan Eid and companies.
13) All ministries / departments will keep the offices under their control open as needed. At the same time, they will issue specific instructions to carry out the functions of their jurisdiction. Officials and employees of the Ministry / Division and its subordinate offices must strictly comply with the 13-point guidelines issued by the Department of Health to guarantee hygiene.
14) No one can leave the workplace during general / ban vacations. Roads will be closed to public transportation, passenger boats, railways, and inland routes. Non-cargo / emergency vehicles must be strictly controlled on the road.
15. Existing rules will also apply to upcoming Eid prayers. Large gatherings in open spaces should be avoided. The Ministry of Religious Affairs will issue the necessary instructions in this regard.
