The police arrested two young men accused of organized rape in Savar and sent them to court. The victim has filed a case with the Savar Model Police Station. They were sent to court on Saturday afternoon for their preventive detention for 5 days. Previously, the incident took place at noon on Friday at Siddique’s home in the Samair de Savar area. This information has been confirmed by the model police station inspector Savar (investigation) Saiful Islam.
Those arrested are Raju Ali, 35, the son of Moinul Islam from Bablabana village, under the Sadar Police Station of Chapainawabganj District, and Riaz Ali, 20, son of Anwarul Islam from the same area.
Citing the victim, police said the female victim and the accused were identified working in someone else’s home. Because of this acquaintance, Raju and Riaz often asked the woman to visit their rented house. However, he could not be subjected to the pressure of work. Since it was Friday, Raju urged him to go for a walk. At one point in the request, he agreed and went home. Shortly after her arrival, she was raped by two men. When he tried to scream, Raju inflicted a bloody gash on his throat with a sharp blade. Later, seeing the blood, he pushed the accused out of the house. At that point the locals arrested them and handed them over to the police.
The model police station inspector Savar (investigation) Saiful Islam said that the victim had filed a case. They were sent to court in the afternoon showing arrest in the case.
