Dhaka: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is coming to Bangladesh to attend the last part of the colorful festival organized to mark the centenary of the birth of the nation’s father Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the Golden Jubilee of Independence.

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) said that traffic on several major roads in the capital would be disrupted on Friday (March 26) and Saturday (March 26) for foreign VVIPs.

According to the DMP Traffic Department, on the occasion of the centenary of Bangabandhu’s birth and the golden anniversary of independence, traffic on several major and main roads in the capital will be controlled on March 26 and 27 for the VVIP movement. Even traffic on those roads will be completely closed for some time.

According to DMP sources, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will come to Dhaka on Friday (March 26) to attend the Mujib Centennial Independence and Golden Jubilee celebrations. On the first day, he will travel by road from the airport to Savar, Dhanmondi 32, Hotel Intercontinental and National Parade Square. As a result, traffic on those roads will be controlled before and after the movement of VVIPs, including the Prime Minister of India. And the traffic on those roads will shut down during the move.

Possible roads used by VVIPs, including Narendra Modi, from morning to night on March 26 are Airport Road, Gabtoli-Aminbazar-Savar, Dhanmondi-Mirpur Road, and Hotel Intercontinental. Then from Intercontinental to Parade Square, finally from Parade Square to Bangabandhu International Conference Center to Intercontinental Hotel.

DMP Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Iftekhairul Islam said that traffic on several major and VIP highways would be controlled on March 26-27 due to multiple VVIP traffic and that it would remain closed for some time.

According to sources from the Foreign Ministry, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Dhaka next Friday (March 26) to attend the Mujib centennial celebrations. Modi will land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 10.30 am today. At the airport, the Prime Minister of India will receive a red carpet reception and a guard of honor. After that, as usual, the martyr hero will pay tribute to the freedom fighters with flowers at the National Monument in Savar.

In the afternoon, he will welcome Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the National Parade Square and participate in celebrations to mark the ‘Centennial of the Birth of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’ and the ‘Golden Jubilee of Independence. ‘.
