Molly, a girl from Calcutta, met Monirul Ahsan Talukder from Bangladesh through social media. There was a long conversation, then the love of the two. The end result is marriage. Before the marriage, Molly apostatized as her husband had promised. Named Molly Ahsan Talukder. The family of the two was doing well. So about seven years passed.
Monirul lived at his home in Dhaka. On that occasion he used to come and go from Dhaka to Calcutta. Took 30 to 40 lakh rupees from Molly for various needs. Monirul did not repay the loan.
Last year, Monirul returned from India and cut off communication with Molly. Later, Molly came to Bangladesh to find her husband. With great difficulty she picked up Monirul’s address. But Molly was treated badly when she went home. From there, Molly moved to her home in Keraniganj.
Monirul came to Molly’s home in Keraniganj in July this year and asked her to pay a dowry of Tk 10 lakh and search her apartment. Otherwise, he threatened to divorce her. Molly was hit randomly if she expressed disability. Molly filed a case under Section 11 (c) of the Abuse of Women and Children Act at the South Keraniganj Police Station on July 8 for the incident. Although Monirul was arrested in the case, he was granted bail after 12 days on the condition of compromise. Monirul is now missing after getting bail. The case is currently under investigation.
Molly Ahsan Talukder told Jago News: ‘I am an Indian citizen. After falling in love, she apostatized and became a Muslim and married Monirul. He took 30 to 40 lakhs of rupees from me under various pretexts. They did not return. Now she demanded money and a floor for the dowry again. I have closed the case without being able to do anything. I came to Bangladesh demanding my husband’s rights, not money. I want my wife’s rights, I want justice for the injustice that has been done to me. ‘
He added: ‘My father is from Chittagong. The mother is from Calcutta. They have houses in two places. My father has a clothing business. My husband (Monirul) is involved in BNP politics. There are multiple cases against him. He fled and covered the town of Calcutta. It was then that we met through social media and then we got married. I have come to Bangladesh three times to search for Monirul. When the matter was brought to the attention of conscientious people in society, they spoke of a solution. But there has been no solution in the last three months.
Molly’s attorney, Omar Farooq, said Monirul was granted bail 12 days after the case. He did not contact us after obtaining the bond.
On the other hand, Monirul’s lawyer, AKM Amirul Islam, told Jago News that attempts are being made to resolve the case of Molly and Monirul. Hopefully the problem will be resolved soon.

After investigation, it will be understood what the actual incident is.
Molly mentioned in the lawsuit: ‘I am an Indian citizen. My father traded Bangladeshi garments in India. I used to run my father’s business. That is why I met Monirul in 2012. Later, when a love story unfolded, she got married in 2013 in India. I left my religion and married according to Islamic law. After the marriage, Monirul lived with me and ran my business. Sometimes she came to Bangladesh. After three years of marriage, I learned that I had a wife and children. Then I started living with him thinking about my future. Her son Asibul Ahsan Azam (11) was brought to India at the end of 2016. Asibul used to stay with me. I admitted him to Darjeeling to study. He used to take care of Asibul. We both used to bear the cost of the boy’s school.
Molly added: ‘Thinking about the future of Asibul, I have not had any more children in my married life. While Monirul was in India in 2016, she borrowed Rs 20 lakh from me in cash for her household needs. She even borrowed a gold ornament worth Tk 14 lakh from me during Monirul’s daughter’s marriage. Monirul used to come to Bangladesh from time to time and also to India. The last two years I bought a flat in the South Keraniganj area. The last time Monirul came to Bangladesh was on November 22, 2019, showing me various excuses and torturing me physically and mentally. On March 13, 2020, I came to Bangladesh and contacted him through my mobile. But she didn’t give me her home address. Next, I went to find her current home address. She treated me badly and threw me out. She did not ask for me and she did not provide. I run the business from my home. On July 2, 2020, Monirul came to my home again and asked me to pay 10 lakh rupees as a dowry and to register my apartment named in her name. Otherwise, she threatened to divorce me. When I expressed my inability, she randomly hit me on different parts of my body and injured Nilaphula. They told me to leave Bangladesh and go to India. Monirul also threatened to kill me if I didn’t go to India.
