To mark the centenary of the birth of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, visitors will be able to enter the National Zoo on the first Sunday of each month for free. And this opportunity will continue until March 2021.

A press release issued by the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock on Friday said the decision is being implemented under the predetermined opening conditions of the zoo as of November 1. In this case, priority will be given to students from the school-university.

The Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock has taken this decision on the occasion of the centenary of the birth of Bangabandhu under the leadership of the Minister of Fisheries and Livestock Sham Rezaul Karim.

The Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock has ordered the closure of the national zoo as of March 20 to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. The ministry ordered the Livestock Department to open the zoo to visitors starting November 1, subject to a number of conditions, including compliance with sanitary regulations.
