France’s new anti-Muslim law indirectly prohibits Muslim women from wearing religious clothing. National Islamic education has been strengthened.

It has been said that children should be sent to compulsory school only when they are three years old. Homeschooling cannot be given in any way.

These measures are believed to have been taken to stop the teaching of Islamic discipline in the family environment.

Furthermore, it has been said that the control of mosques, madrasas, sabha-samitis and Islamic centers will be increased.

Muslim countries have vigorously protested the controversial law recently passed by the Macro government.

Islamic academics and analysts have criticized the law, saying it could be used against Muslims. AFP, BBC and France24 news.

The bill was approved by President Emanuel Macron’s cabinet on Wednesday. In the coming months, French lawmakers will debate the law in a session of parliament.

It is expected to happen in the end. According to the French government, the law aims to counter “radical Islam”.

President Macroe’s statement in favor of the anti-separatism bill said it was necessary to protect France’s “secular values” and expel “hard-line Islamists” from French society.
However, many observers and analysts in France and abroad have complained that the law is directed at Muslims.

After intense debate and criticism, it is now called the “State Secret and Freedom of Expression Law”.

Faced with the controversy, French Prime Minister Jean Castex says it is a protection law. This law is not against any religion. It will free Muslims from extremism.

According to Al Jazeera, France is enacting legislation to increase surveillance of mosques, associations, government offices and schools. However, no word ‘Islam’ or ‘Muslim’ was mentioned in the 50-section law.

Additionally, each mosque must be officially registered so that it can be easily identified. Foreign funds will not be prohibited in the mosque. However, if it is greater than 10,000 euros, there is an obligation to declare.

The ban on religious dress has spread to government offices, markets, swimming pools, and the transportation sector. This will put more restrictions on women wearing hijabs.

The Macron government also says the law will play an important role in curbing hate speech. Through this, Muslims will not be able to use the Internet to speak against anyone of other religions.

According to the French government, these hate speech played a role in the murder of teacher Samuel Patti. The Facebook page of the Pantin Jame mosque in Paris is blamed for this. The mosque has been closed.

All schools that promote Islamic doctrine will be regulated and insured through this law. The law will also guarantee financial transparency for Muslim organizations. Doctors will be fined for proving a girl’s virginity.

That being said, religious dress will be banned for transportation workers and pool supermarket workers while at work or outdoors.
