Police officer Saddam Hussein, 30, was arrested while trying to hide his body after brutally killing his pregnant wife at Sharankhola in Bagerhat. Police say Saddam Hussein killed his wife with a sharp knife around 5:30 am Thursday. Later that night, the police officer was trying to hide his wife’s body in a sack. Upon receiving the news, the police went and arrested him. The housewife’s head and wrists were found separated from her body. The embryos were found wrapped in polyethylene.

Amir Hossain, deputy inspector of Sharankhola Police Station and investigating officer on the case, said the defendant Saddam Hussein was sent to jail through a court on Friday after being arrested in a murder case. He has been in preventive detention for five days.
