Police officer Saddam Hussein, 30, was arrested while trying to hide his body after brutally killing his pregnant wife at Sharankhola in Bagerhat. The deceased was identified as Jyotsna Begum, 35. She was married to police officer Saddam Hussein about a month ago. He is the son of Abdul Latif Gazi from the village of Baradhal in Asashuni upazila of Satkhira. Jyotsna Begum is his second wife. Saddam’s first wife is said to live in a village house.
Police say Saddam Hussein killed his wife with a sharp knife around 5:30 am Thursday. Later that night, the police officer was trying to hide his wife’s body in a sack. Upon receiving the news, the police went and arrested him. The housewife’s head and wrists were found separated from her body. The embryos were found wrapped in polyethylene.
Amir Hossain, deputy inspector of Sharankhola Police Station and investigating officer on the case, said the defendant Saddam Hussein was sent to jail through a court on Friday after being arrested in a murder case. He has been in preventive detention for five days.

Bagerhat Police Superintendent Pankaj Chandra Roy said that a few days ago, other children in the neighborhood got into a fight with Jisan. Sheriff Saddam ruled the boy with this.
