Akramuzzaman: Four people, including a child, were killed and three others were seriously injured when a train collided with a train at the Nawapara railway crossing in Jessore.
The accident occurred in the Nawapara Bridge area around 5:15 pm on Friday.

Nawapara train station master Mohsin Reza said: Private car collided with Mahananda train bound for Khulna at 4.45pm.
Police said: In the afternoon, a train was going to Khulna from Chapainawabganj. The accident occurred when the private car was crossing the railroad crossing to the Nawapara Bridge at the time. A child died on the spot. Three more seriously injured people were taken to Khulna Medical College Hospital, where they died. Attempts are being made to confirm the identity of the victims.
Emergency Department of the Dr. Abhaynagar Health Complex. Iffat Sharmin said: Four victims of the train accident were taken to hospital. One of the children (5) was brought in dead. When the 4 people who were seriously injured were sent to Khulna Medical College, three people died there.
Abhaynagar Police Station OC Tajul Islam said: “We went to the scene after receiving the news of the accident.” One was found dead and four others were taken to the Abhaynagar Health Complex in critical condition. Their condition was critical and they were transferred to Khulna Medical College Hospital. Three more people were reported to have died there. The dead and injured were initially identified as Narail residents.
