Bangladesh Legends could not find their first match at the Road Safety World Series T20 tournament in Raipur, India. India Legends won by 10 wickets on Friday night.
Chasing all 109 Bangladeshi races, India won in 10.1 overs.
Sehwag scored 60 of 35 balls with 10 fours and 5 sixes. Sehwag’s teammate Sachin Tendulkar was undefeated on 33 of 26 balls while throwing many bowling attacks in other legend and international cricket.
This is India’s third consecutive victory in the tournament.
If we want to understand the reason for Bangladesh’s first match and India’s third match, we have to go back a bit. The tournament started in March last year in Mumbai. So Bangladesh was not at the meeting. But due to the coronavirus outbreak, the meeting was postponed. This time the tournament started again from there, the place now is Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh. But Australia withdrew due to the Covid complication. The opportunity is for the first from Bangladesh and England. Sri Lanka, South Africa and the West Indies are also in the tournament.
Bangladesh was unable to fix the equipment in a hurry after receiving the call at the last minute. It also had an impact on field cricket. The performance of the team led by Mohammad Rafique was undefeated.
Courtesy of Nazimuddin The start was great though. Bangladesh won the draw and chose the field.
Nazimuddin contributed 43 runs in the start. Another starter, Javed Omar Belim, was fired for 12 of 19 balls as on his playing days.
After Pragyan Ojha stumped Javed, the plague struck the entrances. No other pair could touch double digits!
Nazimuddin was thrown by Yuvraj Singh for 49 of 33 balls with 7 fours and 1 six. Then the governments of Nafis Iqbal, Rafiq, Hannan came and went. In the middle order, Rajin Saleh played 24 balls to make 12 runs.
Bangladesh’s hitting collapsed against Pragyan Ojha, Yuvraj Singh and Binoy Kumar, who all retired last month.
Then the Bangladeshi bowling alley flew like a straw in front of Sehwag. Sehwag hit three fours and one six in the first over of Mohammad Rafique’s innings. Three fast pitchers Mohammad Sharif, Alamgir Kabir and Khaled Mahmood couldn’t find a place to throw the ball.
When he returned after the game, Sehwag and Tendulkar couldn’t stop laughing. Khunsuti may have thought of those two golden days!
