On his way back to Switzerland, a young man named Alauddin from Brahmanbaria mistakenly took the Teesta Express intercity train to Gafargaon in Mymensingh. Later, he left the Gafargaon Government College grounds for Brahmanbaria in a private helicopter. The incident took place at 10:30 am on Thursday.
Alauddin, who was returning to Switzerland from the Brahmanbaria district, is known to have been waiting at the airport train station to go to Brahmanbaria by train on Thursday morning. But, by mistake, he boarded the Teesta Express intercity train from Dhaka. Later, he misunderstood when talking to train passengers and got off at Gafargaon train station during the train stop. Later, he brought a private helicopter with the news and departed for Brahmanbaria from the Gafargaon Government College campus around 10:30 am. However, as the local police administration had no knowledge of the helicopter landing, suspicions arose among the people. After talking to the young man, the suspicion faded.
The Officer-in-Charge (CO) of the Gafargaon Police Station, Anukul Sarkar, said: “Maybe someone brought a helicopter for personal needs.”
