The bail statement of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s girlfriend, Riya Chakraborty, was also rejected by a court on Thursday. In her request for bail, Riya alleged that she was forced to confess to using drugs. However, the request for bail was rejected a second time.
In court, Rea is withdrawing her confession of all her crimes. Riya had requested bail in special court for this lawsuit. It was alleged at the time of the request for bail that there was no female officer at the time of questioning, which is required by law.
Earlier, during an NCB questioning, Riya Chakraborty and her brother Sauvik said that at least 20 to 25 Bollywood stars were involved in drug trafficking. During interrogation, Riya confessed to using cannabis and other chemical drugs.
Sushant Singh Rajput was arrested by the Indian Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on Tuesday afternoon, six days after his death. NCB investigators have found evidence of the existence of a drug ring in Bollywood from mobile phones and multiple sources.
Sushant Singh Rajput’s hanged body was recovered from his home in Bandra, Mumbai, on June 14. Initially, the Mumbai police were in charge of the investigation. He was later handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) by order of the Supreme Court. In that case, the topic of drug use came up from the WhatsApp back chat. The NCB then launched a separate investigation.
Rear brother Shauvik and former Sushant manager Samuel Miranda were arrested on Friday after being questioned repeatedly about last week’s incident. Sushant’s servant, Deepesh, was also arrested.
