The number of deaths from coronavirus in the country has exceeded five thousand. In the last 24 hours, 26 corona deaths have been identified. The official death toll stood at five thousand seven. In the past 24 hours, another 1,557 people have been identified as corona positive. So far three lakh 52 thousand 17 people have been identified.

The Health Department said in a press release on Tuesday (September 22) at noon.

In the last 24 hours, 14,244 samples were collected. 14,174 samples were analyzed. So far 16 lakh 46 thousand 47 samples have been tested.

Two thousand 83 people recovered within 24 hours of the sample test. So far two lakh 80,690 people are healthy.

According to the Health Department, in the last 24 hours, 10.99 percent and so far 19.05 percent have been identified as corona positive. According to the identification, 84.05 percent have recovered and 1.42 percent have died.

Among the dead were 18 men and 11 women. So far 3,790 men and 1,117 women have died. The age analysis shows 13 people over 60 years old, six people between 51 and 60 years old, seven people between 41 and 50 years old, one person between 21 and 30 years old, and one person between 0 and 10 years old.

The departmental analysis showed that 18 people were killed in the Dhaka division, four in the Chittagong division, one in the Rajshahi division, three in the Khulna division, one in Sylhet and one in Rangpur. All 24 people died in the hospital within 24 hours.

In a press release, the health department further said that 261 people have been kept in isolation in the past 24 hours. There are currently 16,330 people in isolation. 333 people got relief from isolation in 24 hours. So far 83,224 people have received discounts. So far 69,554 people have been isolated.

1,018 people have been placed in institutional and home quarantine in 24 hours. 1,517 people have received quarantine exemption in the last 24 hours. So far, four lakh 69,569 people have received discounts. So far, five lakh 25,992 people have been quarantined. There are currently 46,403 people in quarantine.
