The accident took place on Tuesday (November 3) at around 2.30 pm in the Laxmipur area of ​​the Kushtia-Jhenaidah highway. The names of the victims were not immediately known.

Islami University Police Officer-in-Charge (CO) Mostafizur Rahman Ratan confirmed that five people were killed in the accident.

He said the ambulance was going to Jessore with Pabna’s handicapped. On the way, the ambulance collided head-on with a BADC truck heading towards Kushtia when it reached the Laxmipur area on the Kushtia-Jhenaidah highway. Five people, including the ambulance driver, were killed on the spot. One was seriously injured. The ambulance twisted.
