Noakhali: A mistress has left her family for love and has gone on a hunger strike at her boyfriend’s house demanding marriage in two stages.
After failing to go on a hunger strike on Friday night, the victim herself became the plaintiff and brought a case against the accused boyfriend alleging rape.
The incident took place in the Khilpara union village in East Deliai in Chatkhil upazila de Noakhali.
Chatkhil Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Lal Mia confirmed the incident at 10:30 am on Saturday (November 14). Citing the victim and the case, he said he met Kaushar Hossain, 35, the son of the late Latu Miah from East Deliai village in Chatkhil, and a 19-year-old housewife from Ramganj upazila in Laxmipur district.
The love story between them had been going on for the past three years based on this identity. Later, Kausar tempted her to marry him and took her to more than one place. A few days ago, when his girlfriend told her boyfriend Kausar to marry her, he refused to marry her. After that, when the lover arrived at her lover’s house, the people of Kausar’s family did not accept her love story and kicked her out of the house.
The defendant Kauchar, on the other hand, fled his home and covered his body. After that (November 9 and November 12) the lover did not go on a hunger strike at his home in hopes of gaining recognition. After failing to go on a hunger strike, she filed a case against her boyfriend alleging rape.
Chatkhil Police Station Inspector (investigation) Lal Mia further said that in light of the case, the police are working to arrest the accused.
