Magura: Fahim-ul Karim, Magura’s ‘young wonder’, who became self-sufficient by doing freelance work at home after overcoming his physical disability, has died.

Family sources confirmed that he died at Faridpur Medical College Hospital around 11:15 pm on Wednesday (November 11).

Family sources said Fahim fell ill Wednesday morning. Later he was admitted to the Faridpur Medical College Hospital. He died while being treated there around 11:45 p.m. Doctors at the hospital said the young man suffered from Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD).

Fahim’s father, Rezaul Karim, said in a tearful voice, “It’s all over for me.” If I could get my son (Fahim) out of the country for better treatment, he would be better, even if he was not completely healthy. But for lack of money I couldn’t do it.

Earlier, 22-year-old Fahim lost his entire body due to a rare disease. Only the head and two fingers of the right hand move. He used them to earn Rs 50,000 a month through outsourcing and brought prosperity back to his family. Satisfied with his work, the Minister of State for Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Junaid Ahmed Palak, gave Fahim a laptop.

Fahim overcame obstacles and achieved success using his indomitable strength of talent. He is a role model for many young people. Fahim became a successful freelancer with strong morale, strong will, and talent. In 2016, he bought a laptop with the help of others, private tuition money, and a loan from a bank. Then he learned various jobs by searching Google and YouTube on the Internet. In 2016, she started looking for work by opening a concert about fiber in the online market through Facebook. Within days he got a job for five dollars. The buyer offered him an additional bonus of 10 for getting the job done successfully in a short time. From then on, Fahim didn’t have to look back. At first he started working with banners and business cards, but he did all kinds of jobs.

Fahim, a popular freelancer, worked in 30 to 35 countries around the world due to his job skills. Working as a freelancer for the past four years, Fahim earned an average of Rs 50,000 per month. His earnings restored the family’s wealth.
